The drawings are a few pencil stetches made from field studies.  The birds were located at the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences in Woodstock Vermont. The VINS organization provides a raptor rehabilation facility with the goal of returning the birds to the wild. Those that can not be returned live a good life under the continued care of the VINS staff. Of note the golden eagle was a female which was transported and released in South Carolina where she might still find a mate in the wild.
